Tim purchased his first multi-speed bicycle at the age of fourteen, then, on a bike ride with friends, he saw a friend’s bicycle, given to him by an uncle who rode it in the Tour de France. The bike had lightweight alloy components, featherweight tubular tires and an exquisitely crafted frame. Tim was hooked. He followed his passion, working in bike shops, building wheels, touring, racing, and even designing and building a few bicycle frames. He then pursued his next passion, software, and went on to a degree in software engineering. Over the years, he developed software used for missile and aircraft tracking, testing jet engines, making aluminum and glass, and for efficiently delivering pharmaceuticals to pharmacies. He has now come full circle, and applies his software expertise to the world of the bicycle.
